Antonio Elera

Meet Antonio Elera
Antonio Elera is an attorney working primarily out of the Marietta, GA office of Morrison & Hughes. He is a native Spanish-speaker, proud to serve Georgia’s often-underrepresented Spanish-speaking community in legal matters. He primarily devotes his practice to Workers’ Compensation litigation defending the rights of injured workers.
Prior to taking this position, he worked for a large Atlanta-based insurance defense law firm representing self-insured and commercially insured employers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. The switch from the defense side to now representing the injured worker is especially advantageous for his clients as it facilitates an acute awareness and understanding of insurance defense strategy. He also devotes his practice to personal injury law.
Antonio was born in Peru, raised in New York, and lived in Maryland, Washington D.C., Florida, and San Francisco. Prior to practicing law, he worked as an Advanced Placement American History high school teacher while earning an M.A. in American History. Following graduate school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a commissioned officer. After military service, he attended law school on a full scholarship and earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, he volunteered at a military veteran-run non-profit organization to combat human trafficking. In other areas of law practice, he also worked as General Counsel for The City of Atlanta Office of the Inspector General (OIG), the watchdog agency of the City of Atlanta responsible for combating government corruption, waste, fraud, and abuse.
When not practicing law, he likes to read at home, collect and sell memorabilia, hike, run, and train in martial arts. Antonio has traveled to several dozens of countries across all continents and plans to visit many more with his family in the future.
Antonio Speaks fluent English, Spanish, and basic Italian.
